What is a FANLISTING?
A fanlisting is simply an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are); they are just a place where you can sign up with other fans.
This fanlisting is for an anime/manga character from Air Gear, Takeuchi Sora. It is the only fanlisting for this subject that is approved and listed (under the Characters 0-M category) by The Anime Fanlistings Network.
Tell me about AIR GEAR.
Air Gear (エア・ギア) is a shōnen manga and anime by the mangaka Oh! great. If you haven't read/watched it yet, I suggest that you do so now rather than reading my ramblings about it. ;)
So who is this SORA person?
Takeuchi Sora (武内 空):
Sora is seen as an easy-going friendly person, but this attitude changes later on to a more serious person.
He is seen mainly in a wheelchair.
In the original series, he speaks with a Kansai dialect.
He is old friends with Rika and the rest of Sleeping Forest.
Much like Ikki, he can be very perverted and earns beatings from Rika for it.
He has three dogs, Stone, Cold, and Stunner, in reference to former professional wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin's signature move, the Stone Cold Stunner.
Six years prior to the Air Gear storyline, he was betrayed by his teammate Kilik and lost the core to the Wind Regalia as well the use of his legs.
But despite the loss of the use of his legs, he still possesses the same free spirit that seems to run in the Wind Kings.
Despite not being able to use Air Trecks anymore, he is still pretty capable being able to be keep up with even experienced AT riders with his wheelchair that has AT wheels in it.
During his time as leader of Sleeping Forest, he was romantically involved with Rika, but they broke up after Kilik's betrayal. Lately however, it seems that they are getting closer to each other once again.
It is later revealed it was Sora who leaked information about the all the Regalias to the world including the Sky Regalia, from which various Parts Wars evolved between Storm Riders, and even revealing the location of the Trophaeum Tower to all so incompetent riders would retrieve the Regalias for him.
SKY KING? Sora isn't the Sky King!
As stated above, he was pretty close. ;) Wind King would've been more apt, but Sky King suited his name.
Wait, I thought Sora was a GOOD GUY! :(
No, he's as evil as can be (even though he's still a dork). :P According to the recent happenings anyway, who knows what really goes on through that mind of his -- he's more intelligent than he's letting on, which is why I still love this character (maybe even more than I did before the turn!) despite the fact that Oh!Great has made him a "villain" of sorts. Aaand that's enough spoilers for now, we'll just have to wait and see what direction our favourite guy is gonna be taken next. :)
All I know is that there are now more people in this world who shall never trust anime characters on wheelchairs ever again. XD
